Jenna Fischer has become best well-known as Pam Beesly, the character she played on The Office. In the course of playing this role, Jenna received two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for the Best Supporting Actress.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she was raised living in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna grew up watching her mother, Anne who was a church performer. It instilled in her a love for theatre.
Fischer is an actress with theater training. The Off-Broadway show she starred in was the show Reasons to Be Happy which was written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. Then, she starred in Steve Martin's new production Meteor Shower. It was an absurdist comedic piece opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg and ran for record-breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
The Office actress Angela Kinsey Fischer, who is her real-life best friend and co-star, debuted Office Ladies in October 2019 on Earwolf. The podcast became extremely popular, and was ranked in the Top Ten of the world each week. It received over 200,000,000 downloads during its first 2 years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year Award in January 2021.
She's published two books, The Actor's Life A Survival Guide that outlines her experience in Hollywood as an actor in the field and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Great Friends who were There, which is a story of the greatest relationship they shared and their time in The Office.
