Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing BJJ and wrestling, she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she turned 18. Ladd later went on to take down three opponents within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated had been defeated in the first minute. Ladd returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous verdict. Aspen was already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen in the fight, beating her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's record as an amateur was affected. Ladd rebounded from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-1. Aspen made her pro debut in 2015 after signing as a player with Invicta FC. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011 and won via the first round TKO. She won her next fight in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to Bantamweight for her next fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen used her wrestling expertise to knock down McGill by TKO in the third round (elbows & punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy in a catchweight (138.1lb) because Ladd was not able to gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in second round by TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut came in UFC Fight Night 118 when she fought Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina with a combination of ground and pound. She won the TKO round later in the 2nd. Ladd continued to dominate and picked up a more impressive victory in her next match against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd took over Evinger's fight following the opening round. The winner also got an extra bonus for her performance that evening. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was her first fight that she's ever had in any significant capacity. Ladd was the winner of the night's fight bonus, after both fighters had an intense combat. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds of the fight, breaking her streak to win. in the 3rd round on UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. As a replacement, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. Her defeat was decided by majority decision.
